Shahram Khosravi
The geography and the history that have formed my life have left me without any option but to write. First as a minority inside Iran and later as a migrant outside Iran I have been trying to understand borders and social boundaries. I am now professor in anthropologist at Stockholm University and the author of several books but I prefer to write short essays and fictions.
The books:
Young and Defiant in Tehran, University of Pennsylvania Press (2008); The Illegal Traveler: an auto-ethnography of borders, Palgrave (2010); Precarious Lives: Waiting and Hope in Iran, University of Pennsylvania Press (2017), and After Deportation: Ethnographic Perspectives, Palgrave (2017, edited volume).
